Team Pepper Ltd, a UK Certified Social Enterprise (“Team Pepper,” “We,” or “Us”) is an action-oriented membership organization fighting for women, equality and people from underrepresented groups.

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

We use information about you and Your Personal Data (defined below) to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If We do, We’ll let You know about any material changes, either by notifying You on the Site or by sending You an email. If You keep accessing the Team Pepper Sites or Services after a change, that means You accept this Policy.

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personal Data may include, but is not limited to:

By using the Services offered by Team Pepper, You’re acknowledging You have agreed to our Terms and Conditions and that You have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning ascribed to them in our Terms and Conditions. 

What We Collect and Receive

In order for You to become a member of Team Pepper or use our Services, We need to collect and process certain information. Depending on Your use of the Services, that may include:

  • Information You provide by completing forms on Team Pepper — Your name, email and postal addresses, telephone number, country of residence, login, and password details. We may ask for this information if You register as member, subscribe to our newsletters, upload or submit content through Team Pepper, or if You contact Us;
  • We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service, including the ability to become a Founder Member and/or pay Membership Fees. In that case, We may use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We will not store or collect Your payment card details. That information is provided directly to Our third-party payment processors whose use of Your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information. We use Stripe. Their Privacy Policy can be viewed at
  • Information about Your activity on and interaction with Team Pepper, including use of our mobile Site (such as Your IP address, the type of device or browser You use, and Your actions on the Site);
  • Information about the ways people visit and interact with our Site, in the form of traffic analytics. We use Plausible to gain insight about our visitors in general. It doesn’t track individual users per se and does not store any personal identifiable information. Go to their documentation to find out what Plausible Analytics collects (and more importantly what they don’t).
  • We do use remarketing services to advertise to You after You accessed or visited our Service. These third-party vendors collect, store, use, process and transfer information about Your activity on Our Service in accordance with their Privacy Policies and to enable Us to:
    • Show advertisements for our products and/or services to You on third-party websites or apps
    • Measure and analyze the performance of Our advertising campaigns
    • Some of these third-party vendors may use non-cookie technologies that may not be impacted by browser settings that block cookies. Your browser may not permit You to block such technologies. You can use the following third-party tools to decline the collection and use of information for the purpose of serving You interest-based advertising:

    • We may share information, such as hashed email addresses (if available) or other online identifiers collected on Our Service with these third-party vendors. This allows Our third-party vendors to recognize and deliver You ads across devices and browsers.   • Demographic information—such as Your age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and ethnicity—that You have the option to provide to Us after giving Your consent to the processing of those personal data in order to help Team Pepper equitably support all creators and represent a diverse population in our research. This category includes data that may qualify as protected classifications under applicable laws.

How Information Is Shared

    • When You become a member, Your name may be listed on the Founder Member wall on our Site. If You do not wish to have Your name on the Founder Member wall, we will not include it.  Please contact us at to request We remove it and We’ll quickly comply.  
  • Information that is not shared publicly:
    • The following data will not be publicly displayed or revealed to other users:
      • Any payment information You provide, including information about Your Membership Fees;
      • Your password details (if applicable);
      • Your phone number;
      • Your date of birth and other identity verification documentation;
      • Private profile information, in accordance with Your preferences; and
      • Communications You send to Us (for example, when You ask for support, send Us questions or comments, or report a problem);
  • Information that is shared to protect Team Pepper and comply with the law:
    • We reserve the right to disclose personal information when We believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or law enforcement, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect Team Pepper’s legal rights, property, or the safety of Team Pepper, its employees, users, or others.

  • Our Site may include links to other websites or services whose privacy practices may differ from Team Pepper’s. When You use a link to an external site or service, the privacy policy and data processing disclosures for that site or service governs.


  • We will retain Your information as long as Your membership is active, as necessary to provide You with the Services or as otherwise set forth in this Policy. We will also retain and use this information as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and protect Team Pepper’s legal rights.
  • We also collect and maintain aggregated, anonymized or pseudonymized information which We may retain indefinitely to protect the safety and security of our Site, improve our Services or comply with legal obligations.

Data Transfers

Team Pepper is a UK-based company, but some of its founders are in the US. Your information will be collected and processed in both the US and UK. Each County has its own laws governing data protection and government access to information. If You choose to use the Services, You need to agree to our Terms and Conditions, which set out the contract between Team Pepper and its users.

Your Rights

Users residing in certain countries are afforded certain rights regarding their personal information. Except where an exception or exemption applies, these rights include the ability to access, correct, and request deletion of Your personal information. While these rights are not applicable globally, We care deeply about Your privacy and Your right to request the deletion of Your personal information. People under 16 (or the legal age in Your jurisdiction) are not permitted to use Team Pepper on their own. Team Pepper does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16 and children under 16 are not permitted to register for an account or use our Services.
